Welcome and Call to Order
The meeting will be called to the order.
Updates to Diversity Dashboard
Christina and Katherine presented the latest updates in the school's Diversity plan dashboard.
@Kelly Swinks and @Zach Robison provided feedback specific to various items. Kelly and @Katherine Kelbaugh suggested a new way to characterize revised goals since "missed the mark" was not accurate for years prior to the goal being revised. Christina and Zach agreed.
Christina to present the October update at the next board meeting.
Project Updates
Christina said she was in contact with the Communications Chair about the upcoming community newsletter and had suggested that she could update an article she had written earlier in the year about the school's diversity efforts so it could be included in the newsletter.
@Katherine Kelbaugh suggested the committee consider a more general introduction, highlighting the school's strategic plan for diversity and then could use the article written by Christina in a subsequent newsletter.
The group agreed to that plan, and Christina said she would write up the introduction and submit to the Communications Chair.
The group discussed the possibility of creating a page on the school's website that would serve as a landing page for the school's diversity efforts. All agreed this was a good idea and will begin planning aggressively during the next committee meeting.
